#BTD or Before The Drop gives Fresh Connection Brand an opportunity to highlight the inspiration behind our thinking, and what drove the creative results our fans and friends admire.
First things first, the new product releases are not apart of a collection called "Wave", trust us! While deviating from the trendy definition of "wave", and sticking with the age old one we prefer, FCB will release a wave of products that pay homage to the brands previous 5 years of design.
The first wave, entitled "Poly-Camo" features a brand new piece to the FCB family in our short-zip hoodie. Available in only two color options and extremely limited sizes, this is our favorite piece and a perfect reintroduction of the brand to new and old customers. In addition to the short-zip hoodie, we will release two tee shirts as well.
"Poly-Camo" was inspired by two very interesting moments, our work with Microsoft, and love for the low-poly art style. Our most recent collaboration with Microsoft Youthspark featured a low-poly heart design with the mantra "Change Starts Here", and part of the business case we presented for this design was that low-poly artwork was hot right now, and teens would love it. Artists like Naturel and even our own JoshBeFresh were pushing the look to new limits, so we wanted to adopt it for our brand.
The socket patch tee was a very early design and product for FCB. As a starting brand with very little capital, it was a simple fix to get patches created to get our brand logo out to people. With a simple white patch on a heather tee, we received great responses from just about everyone who'd seen it, so we hope the new and improved socket tee has the same impact.
