Microsoft hosted the Student Tech Fair at Loft One in New York on May 13, 2015, to celebrate Microsoft YouthSpark Stars — student innovators using technology in impactful ways — and to showcase the latest Microsoft technology for students.
The event included Fresh Connection Brand as we are an active partner with Microsoft Youthspark leading the annual t-shirt design for We Day. In addition, the 13-year old entrepreneur, Shubham Banerjee, was present showing off the braille printer he created using a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Legos.
We were also accompanied by two wonderful young women who are on the verge of changing how we see the future of technology in our car and home. Alaa Abdulraheem showcased her one-of-a-kind Nail Polish Mixer that allows the user to create any color of nail polish on-demand, in their homes. Grace Noh presented her concept for WiMi, a safer driving app that uses gesture control to easily display critical information for drivers.
Fresh Connection Brand's Johnnie Fresh showcased some of the brand's most popular and personal favorite pieces to press and "techies" attending the day-long event. FCB's connection to Microsoft dates back to 2012, as we were invited to be apart of the inaugural #Youthspark kickoff in Seattle.
Today, we are apart of the Global Advisory board for Youthspark that helps the program to identify insights and opportunities globally to push students forward in entrepreneurship, computer science, and education.
